We were fortunate enough to be able to hold our fermentation workshop at the most beautiful gym I've ever been to or seen, right here in Tay Ho, Hanoi: The Fitness Village. It is such a calming, beautiful space - perfect for working out, relaxation, OR indeed, a fun fermentation workshop! Thanks to my partner Laci (the talented, wonderful fermenter extraordinaire) and to all who came along for both afternoons - this was a lot of fun, and I can't wait for the next one! Next month we will be holding another workshop (probably our last for a while) on: GINGER BEER!! Stay tuned for June 5th and 6th. I can't wait for this one. Especially the samples.
Ooh the samples of Laci's Sauerkraut were sooo delicious too... Here are a couple of pics from the Sunday workshop (I am bad at documenting things it seems, only took a couple):
If you've tuned in here for the running news - I haven't got much news! Had a bit of quieter week running wise, although upped my cross-training: I did a cycle class for the first time since leaving Australia (again, thank you The Fitness Village! Great class. Intense. Like camping, lol...) and the usual bodypumping, and cycling around town was had. My legs were still feeling a bit fatigued after the Cat Ba trail/road run so I took it a bit easier on them. When I thought I was fully over my virus yesterday, I went for my 'long' (ish) run of the week, from my place up to West Lake, around the Lake and then home again. Thought I was fine and over it, until last night at the end of my first ever Tango class (a lot of fun by the way!) when my fever and rubbish feeling was back with avengeance. Nooo.... So, having a rest day today.
