This past week saw me only get in 1 regular length run, 1 speed session (with the running group here), and 1 long run. In between these I chucked in a spinning class and bodypump class, and the requisite rest days (I had two this week as my legs were feeling decidedly sore and fatigued following the awesome trail run last Saturday). So far so good! Feeling better and better about the Danang Marathon in early August. Not sure it will be a pb (as I don't feel I am in the same condition as last year) but you never know. It will be a great way to see Danang anyway, as I've only ever been to the airport there before heading down to nearby (and beautiful) Hoi An.
For those who are doing the Gold Coast Marathon this year - not long to go hey!! I am looking forward to living vicariously through your updates and posts about this (having had to pull out of this event due to emigrating to Vietnam, d'oh, how was my timing?!). Are you all on track with your training and nutrition? You're going to have a ball! Seriously one of my favourite events - so well organised and such great crowd support too. Oh, and very easy on the eye too.
Have a great week everyone! If you're local to Hanoi - do yourself a favour and get down to this swimming pool that's on the edge of West Lake up near Yen Phu, called Thang Loi (I think?). Beautiful views and such a chilled fun time.
