I have to backtrack. The last two weeks have been crazy (I believe 'crae-crae' is the word on the street) and I haven't done justice to the amazing food that was had in Japan during my brief holiday there with the one and only Amazing Kim. So this post is dedicated to all things foodie that I loved in Tokyo, and yes I know this is predominantly a RUNNING blog, but hey: food and fuel is a BIG part of running and makes ALL the difference, believe me (or work with me and try it for yourself! www.lousweight.com.au). However if you are here because you're curious about my marathon training: never fear: all is on track: completed my final long run yesterday (through beautiful, peaceful, coastal Thailand, ahhhh....) and I am pumped for 5th February and now am tapering-ish.
So, one of the BEST things we ate over there was without a doubt the tempura camembert. Yes, you read that correctly: tempura camembert. It was ah-maze-ing:
For now, it's on with the next chapter: am temporarily in beautiful, peaceful, quiet Thailand as a bit of a break in between the chaos of commuting around Hanoi and pre-Bangkok marathon, while en route back to that lucky lucky country of Australia, of which I am so lucky and happy to be able to call home (it's true hey: no matter where I go, who I meet, or what I eat and do, I will always miss Newy).
Much love to you all. I am greatly missing you all in Hanoi already (you know who you are) but we will meet again elsewhere in this wonderful world, I'm sure of it. xxx
