Aaand on to the running part: No run today, however I got back into the strength training that I was advised to give up three weeks prior to the half marathon. This felt surprisingly easy, so now I'm left feeling antsy and keen for some more. (Although all the lugging of luggage in the crazy heat the past two days has surely been a more efficient weight training session anyway.)
I thought I'd share with you a couple of pictures from the beautiful Hangzhou, where I stayed the afternoon before I flew to Australia, oh yes, and also got my pre-race massage there too (which was lovely, but not too strong/firm - firm is definitely my preference, but then again maybe a softer one was a good thing before a race?). I had a massage, then some dinner and a couple of wines, before strolling around West Lake and visiting the night market.
Happy running everyone and I'll post an update on our travels and trip as soon as I can (probably from our new digs in Inner Mongolia!). Take care and have fun!!
